Description

See below a two parts knee cam of the first 13 km of such a long run (you'll see that I met an e-bike partner on the way who considers this new transportation mean as "revolutionnary" ! => good to hear ;). These videos are a bit vibrating, sorry for that. If one sum the time of this two videos, this gives a 32 kph avg speed on the two first parts of the path which as no stops like red lights etc... during 13 km.

NB : The battery usage is checked just after the end of the ride, but a new check 15 minutes later (switching on again the battery and checking the % displayed), indicated a decrease of 15% of this battery usage. I suppose that this is due to the BMS balancing afterwords of the lithium units.

Description

See below the photo of the speedmeter : this top speed has been reached by full pressing on the throttle between 10 and 30 seconds. The videos below do not speak a lot as the cam was not correctly oriented (will be fixed in the next test runs). During this run 8 top speed at max throttle between 50 kph and 57 kph have been clocked, so the board has ridden in this speed range more than 2 km : no heat from the motors have been observed and one can see that the battery usage is more important than the previous test run (with just a single top speed around 50 kph), yet one does not observe a sudden big increase of the battery usage while pushing the throttle at max during more than 2 km...

One can also see on these videos that the deck has changed for a Landyachtz Evo deck : this is due to a stupid action on the throttle when I was downtown, leading the previous deck (Redember Obeah deck) below a truck : my bad... yet my opinion : stability of the Evo deck is a little better at higher speed (above 45 kph) than the Obeah deck, yet manoeuvrability is a little bit heavier (at all speeds). Conclusion : ALWAYS SWITCH OF THE REMOTE WHEN YOU DON'T RIDE !

NB : thanks a lot to Bike to the future shop who attended me in this change !

Description

See below the photo of the speedmeter : this top speed has been reached pressing less on the throttle than with the previous charge/discharge BMS, and we are still far from a full throttle pressing : in other word this top speed is due to the rider's skill vs road condition, not the board's speed limit.

Description

No change of the "average speed vs battery consumption" ratio is observed with this charge only bms : this ratio remains around 30 km range at 30 kph.

Video rush of this test run below has been done from a cam on the rear foot in order to detect potential strange noises during the run. When the cam displays the side of the road, it's because I "squatted" on the board to push a little bit the speed limit.

Video rushes below have been done with a head cam. Links below are googledrive links so it may happen that one has to wait 24h before viewing it when the link has been already too much clicked the current day... Downloadable versions of these videos can be requested here.

Video 1 is the first 3 km backcountry part at 30+ kph, ending with a little crash on a "down and up" road change : little wobble due to bad weight balance of the rider in this change ;) : no injury with my dh protections (starting with full helmet).

Video 2 is the second 5 km backcountry part : top speed sessions are at 0:30 to 6 min and 8:10 to 9 min (all in low riding tuck for more stability and safety).

Video 3 is the urban part : cruising speed through Grenoble University to take the tramway.
